Default Hello everyone need help on my 99 Mustang I

I have a 1999 Mustang with twin turbos and a custom built motor from race related and I think I have let the car sit to long. I am having trouble starting her. She has been sitting for 6 to 8 months with 93 octane BP fuel with a full tank and I think it has 15% ethenol. It also has 60lb injectors. It tries to fire once and awhile and it smells like old gas. Is it possible my injectors are clogged? I have checked all of the fuses and even took the intake loose and tried a little starting fluid but nothing but a spit and a caugh. Can anyone help with this I thinking of taking the injectors out and clean them or even draining the tank and putting in new but that is alot of gas. I've also been told that the new fuels with Ethenal serprate over time and the ethenol becomes water and settels on bottom of the tank. So Im stuck as what to do next. So what do you think? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Mark

Bad gas maybe? You didn't start it in 6 to 8 months? If you think it's fuel related DryGas should help.

Dont think I'd add anything, drain it! If it smells bad, probably is. I dont think I would want that going through the system much. As far as cleaning injectors, its not as easy as popping them out and cleaning them.
Do you have a FP gauge on the rail to see?

injectors could be sticking also, very common problem. I have been cleaning them with ease for years. You need 1 injector plug with however long wires you need with aligator clips on them. Connect 1 clip to ground and then tap one to power as trying to get the inj to open and close. have a can or 2 of carb clean with the small extension tube that comes with it. Spray and let it set for a minute (to top of the inj where the fuel goes in). You will notice the tube is almost the same size as the fuel opening. Keep taping the aligator clip to power and eventually you will here it click. Now leave it in the open position with power applied and spray inside the hole of the injector and you will start to see a spray pattern coming out of the inj. I actually had a small rig made to hold the injectors which applied power and carb clean. but you can do one by one by hand. works excellent with a little patience.

IMO if you hit it with starting fluid through the air intake. And it didn't fire/run for a second... you have other issues than fuel. Make sure your getting spark. Check all your electrical connections, (corrosion). When you turn the key ON, does the CEL light up? 8mo old gas will still run, it just looses its octane a little. If the tank was full, that is actually better. Because there is less room for oxygen in the tank.....

Start with basics. Pull a plug and see if its wet? If has spark and fuel it should run. Your missing one of the two..

Was going to ask what computer system is the car on?
