Several Ford Motors To Be Discontinued !
Some of this is old news but some of it is :o . Makes you wonder what all the replacements will be.
Ford's 7.3L Powerstroke diesel has been faithfully powering F-Series trucks and Econoline vans with awesome results - both in sales and customer satisfaction. That will all end soon though as the 7.3Lwill be discontinued.
According to internal Ford documents, the 7.3L isn't the only Ford engine with a reputation for quality to be written off - the 2.0L Zetec and 4.6L Cobra are also going to be discontinued around the same time as the 7.3L. The last Powerstroke 7.3L will be offered in the 2002 model year - but a new and highly improved Powerstroke is on the way.

The 2.0 Zetec will be replaced by the 2.3 (I think it's a .3) Duratec and the 4.6 is no surprise, its making way for the modular 5.0....right on time
