What a crappy evening I had, with a minor shining spot.
I drove the mustang to work today and all went well. I went to 711, got down the road about 1/4 mile from work, and it just died. Fuel pump comes on, motor spins over, but no fire. Its DIS, so I checked all the connections at the TFI module and the coil packs, but nothing. I obviously don't have any tools, so I decided just to have some of the guys help me push it back to our parking lot (gated, 32 cameras around the perimeter) and leave it until I can come get it with the trailer. So I round up help, we push it about 1/4 mile back to work. We have an electric gate at the entrance and as the gate is opening, one of my guys gets a little overzealous and pushes my car right into the too slow opening gate. Now there's black paint on the front corner, but the paint is spider cracked a little bit and some paint is missing from the bumper. Well, when the car hits the gate, it knocks it off track. So now the gate won't close. I had to call the facilities mgr and tell him we just broke his gate. Due to the nature of our building, they now have an armed security guard sitting outside (not cheap) guarding the gate until tomorrow when the repairmen can get here to look at it. So needless to say, I am not too happy.
The shining point to all this (very small point) is that instead of doing the turbo conversion later, I'll do it now so I don't have to waste time or money in buying parts for the N/A motor (coil packs or TFI module). So I'll be without the stang for about a month (?) but I'll now try to have the swap done by 10-27 track day. We'll see.

yeah, I'll start ordering parts here shortly, hopefully it will by done by the track day. I may concentrate on the motor and tranny and leave the 7.5 for last just in case time runs short. I should be able to get it done. Its not a matter of money just time. Unfortunately I'm lazy and its muggy
Scott, can you get a good price on a walbro 255 High Pressure intank kit?
