well the only reason i ask about the cfm is because my friend bought a single fan from gearhead and put it in his vert. he said it was GREAT, better than his flex-a-lite fan with dial.
i like the single fans and sn fans because when installed right they look like the should be there. as if ford did it and it looks really clean

I would never hook a switch to a fan....unless it was an override of sorts..

relay/ heavy guage wire /key on power is the only way to go....you cant forget to turn it on or off

besides switches are gay....

and the way your talking about, it only comes on when it gets to a certain temp., right?
i dont like how my friend has his, everytime u turn the key on/engine off the fan come on. i hate that, u cant go to the drive in without worrying about the battery dying and the fan is too loud LOL

you can wire it so a sensor turns the relay on...

but the key on fan on thing works the best....and if you choose the correct wire the fan will not come on when the key is put in acc position

Thats pretty much what I had. I had a relay to kick it on with key but wired into the painless panel to overide it if I didn't want to run it.

yes the taurus fan and the mark fans work but draw alot of current ....
but he said single 16 inch proform .....that pos wont work in the summer sitting in traffic with the a/c on.....

plus with a dual fan set up you have an extra fan incase one fails.....cam/bird fan wont rob to much power....and you can get one from lkq for 40.00 contour works great too

Thats true. The fan I put in my son's car came from my wife 96 Cobra and that thing pulled a lot of amps. At low idle the amp gauge was in the negative. I would suspect that any fan/fans that move alot of air will have the same issue though. (shrug)? Possibly time for a 3G alt upgrade to at lease a 130 amp alt? Pretty sure thats all the SN95 cars have is a 130 amp alt.
