thats cool! i have a 1988 SSV ex-FHP Mustang. i had it painted a couple years ago and when i did i removed the spotlight and went solid black with it. its a great car!
by the way.....when i got the car (from the auction with 72k on it) it needed four tires, paint,a trunk lid ( hole drilled in it), 2 holes fill in the roof, dash (holes drilled in it), console (holes drilled in it), seats (driver seat broken), carpet (dirty), rear package tray (drilled for lights) and the stupid hybrid GM alternator they put on them then. it used an external voltage regulator and it SUCKED. i had it rebuilt 5 times and finaly upgraded to a 94-up mustang 130amp alt. ive put 80k on the car and honestly its been a great car.

Those are beat on so bad, I would think twice about getting one, but for some reason everyone I talk to that has one loves it.

Scott and I saw a bad ass cruizer at FFW in G-ville complete with 4inch cowl hood and a 8 point cage.

ok here are some facts...... Ford made SSV Mustangs from 1982-93, roughly 12,000 cars. thats a little more than 1,000 cars a year so that makes them some of the rarest late model mustangs out there.
the SSV Mustangs are basically no option coupes with a 5.0L and ether an auto or 5sp. my particular car has only one option-a/c. some of the available options were....oil cooler, tranny cooler(automatic), silicone hoses, certified calibrated speedo, floor reinforcments, blacked out LX wheels and single key locks.
4.6POWER..... What V8 mustang hasnt been beat on? i would say that the SSV Mustangs are some of the better maintained mustangs on the market.
