Default Suspension help

I have a 2004 lincoln Navigator with about 85,000 miles. As you may guess one of my air bags seems to be leaking. I haven't checked it to make sure but as I call around everyone tells me not to fix it but to convert it to springs. It seems to be about $600.00 for the standard kit and about $1,000.00 for a kit that Arnott had that drops it about 2".

Does anyone know of any other kits that would lower my Navi' without such a big price jump? Should I try to fix or replace the air bag that's leaking? Let me know if you've had any experience with this issue.

If its only one air bag, I'd check into price to replace the one and compare to conversion. Those lines have a tendency to leak also. I'd look into it before you make a $600-1000 comittment

I agree, more than likely its a line. They sell union/splice kits to fix them for fairly cheap. And the airbags are not that expensive. The only thing really expensive is the air compressor itself. Get some soap/water in a squirt bottle and start spraying on the lines/fittings/air bags until you see bubbles... then decide from there.

i had this problem with an eddie bauer expo, replacing the bag (if it is the issue) isnt hard. we found replacement bags real cheap on line. there is a sensor you can move and/or flip which will change how much pressure the bag will be filled with. we flipped it on the expo for a few inches of drop.

Thanks for the help guys. Do you know of any shops I can take it to in Fort Myers? I only have one day off a week so it's pretty tough for me to do it myself. It also seems everyone I call doesn't wanna mess with it at all.
