Ok this racing thing is just getting out of hand with me. My damn stang is just a never ending thing. I seemed to stop dropping money into it but now a great deal of money is going to go into going to all the races. I am thinking this shit is just getting out of control, for the amount I work and the fact I really don't have anything to my name other then the car.
So, I am thinking about selling the stang and just getting out of the game. I really want to get a new LS and just chill with it and be comfy. I am sure I will catch the speed bug again but that won't be untill I am settled. Or when I am settled, will I be able to do it?
So pretty much I need you married guys advice....Should I keep playing with the stang and not worry about buying a house or anything untill I want to get married? Or do you think I will have time for this once I am settled?

 

I think you would miss it, its a very badass car. So hard to see weekend cars like that.

 

I am sure I would miss it, but the comfort of a LS would help easy the pain. Also, mabe having an actualy house that I own rather then paying rent and just lossing money every month. I don't know I am confused

 

cars arnt going anywhere. if/when i had to make the same choice about a car or a house, houses own. you will always put money into a car, but will you get that back out of it when you go to sell it? with a house, you add-on and the house will be worth more and mean more to you. sure fast cars are fun, but priorties are priorties. hope this made some since.

 

Mike, IMO I wouldn't get rid of the car for several reasons. I just bought my first house and now ALL my money goes into it. I don't go to the track as often as I did after I bought the house or when I was single. But not to say that my wife is cutting me off from racing, it's just your priorities change. Get all your toys now cause once u get a house u tend to do all u can to make your house better. It's the only thing that will increase in value as compared to a car. Cars suck but they sure are fun. If I didn't have this house I would of had a built 4v w/ a blower. But your in a different situation than me(if I remember right your single). My mom has a 00' Lincoln Ls and yes it drives nice but when I get out of it I do want to jump into my car take it for a spin. Plus if u did get rid of it, your gonna get the bug again. Then you would have to start from square one all over again. Just get the car to run consistant with a conservative tune(for reliability issues) Then look around for a house if u do so desire one. I'm sure Scott will chime in give his .02$ He is in the same boat but he has kids too. So your only young once man, live life to it's fulliest. Keep the car...........OR give it to me! -Mark

 

Thanks Mark, now the votes are split. I see it as I am young and don't have any resposiblities now so I should do it now, but I keep thinking with that money I could have a house and be making money rather then just dumping it into my car.

Also, you are correct I am single, but I am going to be honest I am starting to get tired of that scene.
I think I am just more pissed about the fact that I didnt' win the lotto.

 

sell it, buy a push rod make it faster and have money left over. money problem solved
