Default How should I fix this???

There's a bolt hole on the bottom Passenger side fender extension that is in a fiberglass piece of the fender extension. well I was taking the nose of the car off to paint the metal behind it, to discover that the hole was cracked all the way around it from the previous owner or something. Now, the hole is much bigger and I'm not really sure how I should go about fixing it. so that i can bolt it down and be tight and secure.

Attachment 143432

Was thinking of using fiberglass and resin to basically patch the hole, then repeat the process a few times sanding in between until the same thickness as original then drill a hole in it...

Any Ideas???

Will take a pic a few mins so you can see what im talking about....

Thanks

invalid link for me, but can you just use a washer slightly larger than the hole?

Yeah, use that just sand it with 80 grit to give it something to bite to then let it cure drill your hole sand off the access then prime and paint if you want.

not sure if there is enough stuff in the tube to cover the hole and make it thick enough to sand and still be strong....I will figure it out....

Thanks to those who replied and if anyone else has done this before please feel free to make a suggestion!!!
