Default Need a good laugh???

Went to a nearby Ford dealership cause my e-brake broke. I had it fixed under the recall a year ago so I'm thinking it'll should still be under the recall fix....ya right! Well I drop it off and about 3 hours later they call and say that both rear cables for the brake need to be replaced. For the ones that don't know there are 3 cables on a e-brake. 1 coming from the brake itself then 1 to each wheel. So anyways the lady says the total will be 280$ I said "uh no thanks I'll be by in 30 mins to pick my car" When I got there they gave me the estimate and their internal copy by mistake. So I'll write down and it's pretty funny what they wanted to charge me.......

40$ - to adj brakes(labor)
4$ - for shop supplies
38.55$ - for Cbl & cond asy-prk B
37.30$ - Ca asy-p/brk RR-LH
10.40$ - shop supplies! you gotta be kiddin me.
104$ -labor
24$ -labor(WTF, how many techs does this take)
2.40$ -shop supplies( I guess I have to pay for the toilet paper so they
can wipe their ass.

______

260.65$ Subtotal
18.25 - tax
______
278.90$ Lick me balls!

So for 2 cables(so they say) it's 280$. If it's 40$ per cable then 200$ for labor and supplies no wonder those techs make good money. Hell I might ask them for a job! -Rant is over. -Mark

Actually there are 3 cables. The one that goes from the e-brake handle to a junction and then the two coming off the junction that go to each rear brake. Don't worry, they are not too hard to replace.

Craig, I know there are 3 cables. I was just explaining just in case there may be someone that doesn't know. -Mark
