How loud will this get.. and is there an indoors area?
Reason I ask is that my wife wants to come along to watch and we'd have to bring "the boy" (7 mo.) along....

There is an indoors area, but I am assuming it will get some exhaust fewms kicking in there. And it will not be any louder then a day at the track. It does get pretty loud, 7k rmps in never quite.
