svt focus
my gf is going to be getting one soon and i know you cant get them down in price due to them being in limited production, i was curious on how many were actually going to be made i heard it was around 7,000?

The guys at the dealership tried telling me they were making 3000 of them, but that is bull. As of now I have yet to hear and exact #

Word on the street is there are dealers all around the nation and Canada with SVT Foci just sitting idle on lots since people are refusing to pay the excessive markups that some of these dealers are placing on the cars. Either you can wait until the end of the model year, talk them down, or try to find someone who can get you on the X-plan.

Job #1 was supposed to be 5,500 units...
with the introduction of the SVT ZX5 next year.. I seem to remember that the production numbers were going to be 14,000 or somewhere in that neighborhood.
EDIT: Did some searching and it looks like the production will be around 12,000 (7,000 ZX3 and 5,000 ZX5)... looks like the price will be higher as well
