Default 94 ford ranger spark issues???

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

its a 3.0 v6

it was running fine in the morning my g/f went to leave work and it wouldnt start the engine turned over

i ended up changing the cap and roter im not great with naming the parts but i changed the cap part were there's 6 spark plug wires there's one that goes to the ignition (i think thats what its called) that part gets spark ( i know becuase it shocked me and i saw sparks) but where the wires going to the spark plugs they dont get any spark every once in a while it may spark when trying to start the truck but still it turns over

any ideas of what it could be ?

I thought you had spark? It shocked your socks off right? Just a thing to check is the fuel cutoff switch. It interrupts the FP in case of vehicle collision. Dont know where on your truck but you can look it up. Just a simple push reset.
