Well as far as the manual trans I just pound the throttle on the line and leave it down, I just tap the clutch enough to change gears, never lifting. (kinda explains the broken T5, I guess).
I know this is a stupid question, but explain the window switch please.

I know this is a stupid question, but explain the window switch please.

An RPM activated window switch allows you to set a specific RPM that the nitrous can come on,.. and another RPM for it to turn off at in case you over rev the engine (Miss a gear). For a 2v 4.6 a window switch would be set to come on no less than 3000 RPM and shut off at 6000. This way even though your WOT switch has activated the nitrous,.. once you launch you may bog or take a moment to get over 3000 RPM the motor is still safe and helps prevent a nitrous backfire by only allowing it to be on in a safe RPM range.

This is a NOS Cheater kit that I had for my 93. Can handle as low as 75hp or as high as a 300 shot. Need better solenoids to go bigger.

.

This is an MSD window switch.

.

This was for a carb'd application.
For EFI you would just replace the carb's plate and use a fuel and N2O fogger nozzles. To set up a purge,.. you would add a splitter with a 3rd solenoid and some line going to where ever you want it to vent at.

For something like a 200 shot tapping into a stock or even an aftermarket fuel pump is not always enough and can starve your engine. A second fuel pump dedicated for the nitrous fuel line is often used. Sometimes a 1 gallon fuel cell for the nitrous is used also.

Hope that helps.

Holy Crap! I just found out there are only about 3 quarter mile strips left in this state. Back in the day there was Tampa Dragway, Twin City (Oldsmar) Sunshine, and Desoto. Now I understand even Desoto has wimped out to the 1/8 mile. All of these tracks had a great show that paid a grand to win. WTF happened? imports won't make it past the 1/8th?

Sunshine cut back to 1/8. The shut down was too short for 200+ mph cars and the nice solid jersey barricade at the end of the track is kind of a deterant to even ballsey drivers.

Desoto,.. aka BMP or Bradenton Motorsports Park is still a full 1/4 mile. Lakeland is 1/8 mi. Moroso is full 1/4 mi but they are a good drive from Tampa area. Gainsville is still 1/4 mile but they are usually packed.

BMP is still around but sold the property about 4 years ago to a developer. The brothers who owned it are still managing BMP until the developer decides the market is ready and it will all be dozed over. Leaving Gainsville as the closest 1/4 mi track.

True,.. drg strips in particular are closing up all over the place.

Used to be 4 tracks in Md,.. now only 1 remains,.. how ever I heard a rumor that 75/80 re-opened. But Cumberland and Capitol closed down for good. MIR aka Budds Creek is still doing well. Used to run to Colonial Beach 1/8 mi for Nostalgia events,.. but I heard they too are or will be closed.

I remember when Sunshine rolled, I ran my old Z28 there and blasted throught he 1/8th, I remember thinking that went by kinda fast, and used the old 1/4 mile return road to get back. I live about an hour from Gainesville, I just can't believe all these tracks that are gone now.

75/80 was always 75/80. Its where route 75 meets route 80 in Urbana. Its in between Frederick and Rockville,.. a few miles into Frederick county.

Cecil is up toward Balt. I never ran there so I have no idea what the status is for that track.
