Default Turbo or Supercharge ?

I got a question I hope can be answered. Ok so I have decided on my next car. An foxbody stang, why cause they are cheap and after market is just as big as any import. Anywho I was wonder what would be better for extra power on a stang Turbo or supercharger ? I know super chargers are better for quick and responsive power at high RPM's and I know Turbos eventhough not as responsive at times are great for topend. Which is what I am looking for in my stang. But one of my biggets delima's is to weather super charge or tubro eitehr a V6 or V8 ?

you got it backwards the turbo gives you boost at higher rpm and supercharger gives it at lower rpm. and id get the v8

Default my 2 cents

I was considering the exact same thing you are right now. In the end though... I really wanted a newer body style more than anything *shrug*. However, for the price of a vortech s-trim supercharger you can buy either a used twin turbo kit from someone online or a new one (won't be ball bearing and the intercooler will probably have to be made by yourself). If you're not comfortable doing it yourself and are worried about killing the engine, knocking, and all other sorts of stuff... then have a pro w/ a dyno tune it when you're done. If you do go the turbo route really try and find someone who has done it before and get their input, it's priceless. If you want something simple and fast... I believe the new powerdyne superchargers sell for like 2200 bucks. They will install in 5 hours if you know your stuff, maybe 8 max, but I've seen it done in 3. Plus, the new ones aren't as noisy and have 2 year warantees on them. They're self contained so you don't need to worry about running extra oil lines in them. If you need more than 9 psi coming from the charger I know you can get an 11psi pully for like 100 bucks extra in the kit. That will either make your car an absolute monster or blow it up, hehe. With this in mind, make sure whatever car you get has low miles on the engine, OR was rebuilt buy a reputable mechanic (talk to the mechanic too if you can, not just the seller), and the compression is all okeedokee. Use your butt meter too, if it feels sluggish and nasty, stay away.

What I say is just my opinion ofcourse, and due to inflation it's now worth 2 cents apparently.

let me just say that for the amount i have in my car w/ a supercharger, i could have been running a sec. faster with a turbo........my vote would be turbo, on a V8

powerdyne are cog setups if i recall correctly, whcich is hard on the blower...but who cares it has a warranty..BUT..ive heard powerdyne blowers are notorious for the belt comming off under higher boost.

though for me, you'd have to change it to 10 inches, and you'd have to change inches to millimeters, and you'd have to change 10 to 5 and you'd have to change dick to poor excuse for one.

If you have chosen Foxbody you have to go with 4-cyl or V8, there is not a 6 cylinder.
