"Usage Procedures For Prototype Vehicles Requiring Camouflage"
Included within the program manual was a section highlighting certain steps to secure any Ford concept product.
1) Vehicles are to be used only for the purpose of engineering development
2) No usage as pool vehicles is permitted
3) No overnight driving is permitted without written approval. A coordinator must keep a detailed log of overnight evaluations and control disposition of keys.
4) Product prototype testing should be confined to a Ford proving ground or other secured test facility. Testing on publicly accessed roads requires written approval.
5) Camouflage cannot be removed on public roads for any reason.
6) All camouflaged vehicles must be equipped with a lockable cover that can cover the entire vehicle in the event of a breakdown. They must also be used for loading, unloading or to avoid photography. In the case of a vehicle breakdown, the vehicle must be covered and not left unattended. Call Ford Roadside Assistance at 800-241-3673 and make certain vehicle is protected from public visibility upon arrival.
7) When on road support activity (food breaks, overnight lodging) the lockable cover provided must be used.
Camouflaged prototypes must be transported from site to site via enclosed haulers.
9) Management evaluation drives are to be confined to Ford proving grounds.
