Timing / cam question
you really wanna mess someone up swap heads from 351 to 302. both heads are the same just the bolt holes are different size for the head and the intake geometry changes so if u dont use the right intake it wont ever work. cam will do the same thing but the firing order is different. makes things really fun.lol

That makes no sense.
302 and 351 heads are physically the same. E7TE heads on 5.0 HO engines are technically 351 truck heads. 351 uses a larger head stud/bolt if thats what you are referring to? The 302 can be tapped to accept the larger studs and is commonly done. The deck height between the 2 blocks makes the heads farther apart on the 351.
351 must use a 351 specific intake. 289/302 intake does not physically fit a 351,.. its too small/narrow. 351 uses the same cam profiles as HO 302. Same firing order. I dont see how any of this would majorly confuse anyone?
I was tired and made a mistake wiring the cap on the engine I built. My wife and I had been doing 14 hours days for 2 weeks straight. The amount of work we accomplished in 2 weeks was absolutely astonishing when I look back with what we did and started with.
