Need info on boosted Escort

Raced a boosted Escort this past weekend and was trying to figure out if it was a stock set up or custom, not sure. Anyone here care to enlighten me. I lost but not by much and would like to know more about them if they were mass produced.

To my knowledge I dont think they made a mass production of boosted Escorts.

Not mass produced. There was one at the track last Thursday that was running low 15's in the 1/4.

What color was it ?

Was it a ZX2? Gude and I think one other company makes a turbo kit for the ZX2. It may also fit in a 4-door Escort if they were available with a Zetec 2.0l motor.

This one was older. Early to mid '90s I believe. It was white w/ a black hood.

It was a 92' or so. It has to be the same one that was at the track last Thurs. night.

Jomar and I were cracking on it because of some pillar gauges and then he belted off a low 15 or high 14 and we were like "oh shit ! ".

Its different, yes, but it only barly pulled me at the end of 3rd gear so its not making much more then I am w/ only a few basic bolt-ons. Still kinda interesting though. Thanks for the info.

Yeah but keep in mind that the motor that came with that car barely made 100 h.p. in stock trim. Not to mention they were not the most reliable drivelines either.
