PRIVATE TRACK DAY # 2 / PLEASE REPLY
I don't see an issue with that. Mustangs and 14 second and better imports.
I can see some of them bitching about it, but hey. It's our tech forum. Our day. So we CAN have our cake AND eat it too...
If they don't like it they can setup their own day and only allow 15+ second domestics....

I can assure you there will be no rice there.
I thought about making the 14.99 time cut-off for the imports only so we would not cut out any of the Ford forum people so that may be the case for this event.
Good replys lets hear some more.

I like the idea of single runs in one lane only for radial tired cars., good call.
I will be bringing my tent down again, so maybe for those of us who have them, let us know where to park prior to pulling in..
I just need to make sure that whomever is running the tree doesn't wait too long to drop it on a pro tree.. boy did my tranny get hot a couple of times.....
No problem with the imports, if they get in my way.. I'll just drop my front end on them when I launch....
Things went very smoothly last time, 1000 points to Scott for organizational skills.
Chris, you get your trans fixed/new converter?

Just like everyone else it's just my opinion, but I think it might be better to let some Camaros, Firebirds, Vipers and Vettes in instead of imports. That way you would have the classic Chevy vs. Ford vs. Dodge battles that have been going on for ever, and you would still be sticking with rear wheel drive cars. I don't mean to exclude any imports. Like I said, it's just a thought. Also, what about cars that run quicker than 10's? I know it wasn't allowed at the first one, but what about this one?
I see your point in trying to fill the dead space between runs but I also see a potential problem with that many slow cars. I can see them doing nothing but hot lappin their cars because at those speeds, it doesn't make a difference in your times. That means there will always be a line in the staging lanes. I don't mind paying a premium for running if I know that after I cool down after a race, I can be reasonably assured of getting to the tree before I heat back up sitting in line. This could very easily turn into a mini club 1320.

The 10's and faster cars were not allowed at the last one mainly because of track prep reasons but I think it will be fine for the next one, I am working on that with BMP.

And the majority of the imports that will probably come will be much faster than the 14.99 cut-off and they can not make repeated runs due to cool down issues for there rather large turbos. I used the 14.99 as a cut-off so we would not exclude to many of the Ford forum members. But the 14.99 rule may be for the imports only.
But like I said before none of this is set in stone yet. I might raise the bar on the imports and have none for the domestics. That may piss a few import owners off but oh well they will get over it.
Keep checking back in for more details.
