Angry murray's speed & custom

alright guys i moved to the bay area from miami a few years ago and in miami the hot spot for parts was murrays speed and custom. That is where they opened their 1st store and opened 6 more after that across south florida. When i found out they opened the one on S dale. I was so excited mainly cause i was able to use my account for our shop in miami and get parts at jobber pricing.

I called them up the other day to put in an order for some stuff and i find out they are closing the store down.

I know th economy is horrible but the stores in miami are big time $$$ makers. Did that store really do that badly? I know it was not to bright to open the store on S dale. Maybe if it was someplace by the airport or even towards carolwood someplace off N dale.

Has anyone else heard about this??

Well i guess its back off to A&E or speed world for my parts...

Still one in Dunedin off SR580. We go there quite a bit. But Miami is a lot different from Tampa. A lot different. I have a lot of customers in Miami. Love going down there

I live near that one down there on S Dale Mabry, right outside of MacDill, unfortunately, they never get enough business in there so I knew it was going to happen sooner or later.

Gearhead I believe, Soon after they bought them the store in Bradenton closed up. Sucks too cause I got much better prices there than I do at Murray's, Plus the parts came faster. It took me about a week to get an A1000 pump, 2 filters and 3 regulators through Murray's even though we paid to have it over-nighted. Now I'm a week behind on a customers build that was suppose to be done this Monday. Oh well, shit happens. They handled it like professionals and I continue to buy from them.

Your correct Gearhead bought out A&E, SO far no big problems when ordering parts for customers cars
