He meant are they BOTH blowing air toward the engine. If the electric fan is hooked up backwards, it will blow air forward and your two fans will be fighting each other. Result is zilch airflow across rad fins.

In that case, if it's ok going down the road but overheats while sitting still, your rad is clogged either internally or externally. Try a radiator flush and blast the fins with a garden hose or car wash wand.

alright so i replaced my thermostat today
and my meter stays in the middle

i guess i fixed the problem (i hope) lol

but thanks to all of you for the help
if i have any more problems ill come back
