Default Can any strut be converted to a coilover??

I am going to run a tubular k-member/a arm set up for this coupe I am building and have never used one before. I have practically brand new struts and want to know if you have to use a specific "coilover strut" or can I use these and buy a coilver kit? With that being said, anyone got a k-member/a-arms/coilover kit they want to sell? Thanks

Some struts have a larger main shaft and that can be a problem. And most of the time you have to knock off the top plate that is spot welded on (not hard to do at all)

QA1 is a good k-member but know that the wheels are moved an inch forward and an inch out on both sides.

I have an AJE k-member and arms on my zephyr and like them alot. Plus the wheels don't move form stock.

pretty much all the factory struts work, the one I know that doesn't are the Koni. It has a wider dia body. KYB, Monroe, and others do. Usually when you order the kit it will say which struts they will not work with.
