I changed the carb (650 DP) mounted the holley blue pump (on rear bumper) checked fuel pick up in tank, mounted a brand new regulator. Still have eratic fuel pressure (old gauge might go get new one). car idles ruff then fine then stalls. I'm tired of messing with it. Anyone that can come to my house and fix this beotch I will be glad to pay them and I'll even through in lunch. (813)382-0209 in live in seffner off of us92 between kingsway and McIntosh road.

...Put a computer on it...

Unfortunately, I don't have any constructive ideas. I'm sure someone here will take you up though. Good luck with it.

The gauge in the dash isnt the fuel pressure, its the level... Put an actual fuel pressure gauge on it and see what it truly is. It only takes 6.5psi of fuel to make a carb car run...

You can get the gauge from any NAPA or CarQuest. Attach it with a peice of fuel line to the oppesite side of the regulator were the fuel line is going to the carburator, start it and see what the pressure is. Should be no higher than 8psi and no lower than 4psi. Sounds like the fuel PSI is uber low. Its just starting and running off that little amount of fuel thats loaded in the carb and when it runs out it shuts off.

Did this carb sit for a while before you used it?

Sounds like the floats are set wrong and possibly the needle and seat are malfunctioning.

How long did this holley sit before putting it on your car?

I live right up the road from you by palm river road and 78th st. If you're free tomorrow, I can check it out for you.

And this will cause the pressure to act like that? Do I need to plug off the return line to the tank?
