Default need major help with the 06 GT!

so im trying to change the plugs today... followed this procedure so i would take them out correctly S197 Mustang Tech Links - Page 4 - Ford Mustang Forums

the passenger bank went smoothly, the driver side...

the first spark plug broke in the porcelain part right under the threads. i was only able to take out the metal rod that goes thru the center of the plug, i dont see anything else in the cylinder except for porcelain bits. god dammit

2nd passenger cylinder went fine

3rd and 4th.... only the thread/nut part of the plug came out...everything else stayed in the well and long nose needle pliers wont take them out.

Can anybody fix this shit for me? I know its not gonna be free

Sounds like that head may need to come off.

If you have access to a boroscope you could check in there. Some people have vacuumed it out and used a boroscope instead of pulling the head. Although I would do so at your own discretion.

nvm, got a mechanic friend to come over and look at it. the first spark plug on pass side broker under the end of the threaded metal part. the rest of the plug is still in there and the pieces of porcelain are sitting on top of it, not in the actual cylinder as i previously thought. he has the tools at his shop to take out all 3 problem plugs, so its getting towed there tomorrow morning. damn 2-piece designed plugs...

last time ill ever work on a ford again!!!!!!! haha

The later ones were fine. Around mid 07 build run they got revised heads that accepted your more typical spark plug. So if your going to buy a 3v, get a newer one

Newer style on top, older on bottom.
