Default need some help with an '06 GT

My friend has an '06 GT auto with 45k miles, and needs to do a tune-up. What plugs+wires do you guys recommend? Also, where can i find/get a good deal on a replacement k&n filter, or even a cold air kit for it? and anything else that should be done? thanks a lot guys

why are you tuning it up at 45k ? it has platinum plugs. Theyre good for at least another 20k . Does it have a running problem?

Only problem with that AB is that carbon builds up around the plug and has been a common problem with the plugs breaaking off. Both the 5.4 and 4.6

you're right , but thats from going to 100k on the plugs , and its usually the 3 valve engines that have the long electrode. Ford recommends 100k , I recommend 60. Its not much more than what he has , but those plugs arent cheap

my friend said it hasnt been driving normal, and that it needs a tune up. i havent actually seen it since she told me, but i will today or this weekend. replacement plugs for the car seem to be around $2 a pop, which isnt too bad. and stealth mode is correct, its a coil on plug setup, so i wont be needing wires. a tech pm'ed me a told me i just need to change the plugs, air filter, and fuel filter

This has been on the 3 valves.....thats why Im worried. I have 77k on mine and dreading having it done and this issue has been seen as low as 60k . I wish I had my powerstroke back now

i just came back from driving it around. drives fine, but it doesnt start up RIGHT away like it used to. just takes about another half second or so, so im thinking changing the plugs, fuel & air filter will do the trick
