does anyone in here have a 96-98 4.6L mustang? what kind of 1/4 mile times are you runnin?

LoL. Romeo! that was funny phatstang. He is referring to the plant at which the mod motors were built in Romeo Mi.

v8ranger- The 96-98 sohc ran anywhere from mid 14s(stick) to high 15s(auto). The Dohcs ran around 13.8s to 14.0 in stock trim. Why u ask? -Mark

i was wondering what real world times are for the romeo mustangs. i have a 98 gt with few mods and its running better the the stock 99-up GTs at the track but i dont think im as fast as i should be for the amount of work in the car.
oh romeo oh romeo where art thou fast quarter mile times?

96-98 2vs are pigs. Bolt on for bolt on 99 and up 2v will destroy 96-98 2vs. The heads on 96-98 2vs are garbage. They serve two good purposes.....paper weight and door stop. Buy some 99+ heads/cams/intake and you will see HUGE gains with this mod alone.

Well you can make a small coffee table out of one.

Melt it down and make some cheap jewelry.

Plant some flowers in the combustion chambers.

Keep them in your car and use them as weapons for those cases of road rage.

Im sure there is more we can come up with.

i had heard that before but never looked into it.... i guess im just plain dumb cuz i dont know the plants name.....


anyway how much work ya got into this stang?

thank you for the PI head swap info but i have been there done that on a friends car.
stangerang- 80mm mass air 70mm tb long tube headers underdrive pulleys 4:10 gear o/r h pipe etc..........
it runs pretty good i was just wondering what the typical romeo 4.6L runs. thats it.
i couldnt help but notice that most of the people who responded have 4v cars. hhhmmm any 2v guys out there?
