Anbody ever run the ford Z heads?
They are blow out selling everything pushrod at Ford Racing.
We have all seen the deals on the Boss shortblock kit.
Now I have found fully assembled Z heads, with the required Ford rockers for $1200.00, shipped. I can likely find them lower.
Has anyone had experience with these?
Who really makes them?
Are they Canfeilds?
Thanks,

I was pretty excited about these when they came out, but it seems like they fell a little short of my expectations. The combos I have seen with them, are ok, but not great. I think Archie Marasco used to have a set on his race car. He may be a good source to ask.

For that kind of money I would rather have a set of Victor Jr's.

Just found a flow sheet on them...and is it me or are these numbers backwards on the intake side?
The way they show it, they flow more "as cast" than they do after they are "cnc'd"

I talked to Jay allen at CI about them last night. They are Canfeilds.
Hard to get right on a SB, unless you start with bare castings and go from there. Natrurally he recommended the CNC versions. I have seen a couple of 347's run them and dyno at 430's to 475 hp.
I am likely getting one of the Boss shortblock kits this week and am looking at heads to top it with. The Novi 2000 will be going back on this combo also, so I dont need to crazy of a head.
This setup should make some big steam!
