hey i have a nissan 240sx that has a 302 in it,im auto at the moment and am going to be boosted with in the next week or so and i want to stay auto because i will be running a gt45r in the next month or so and dont want to loose boost between shifts,im running an aod right now but its trash and slips and wont go into 4th.trying to find out what is an good auto trans that would hold 350-400hp with out fully building one, i am running a stock 302 with valve springs,big cam,roller rockers,push rods,wide band,safc and soon to be on 8psi of boost.the car is stock with a j30 vlsd diff for now.i know it sounds dumb but the cars light and alot of fun. thank you for your help in advance

 

If you dont have to have O/D...the C4 is hard to beat. Manual valvebody and a deep pan and shift like a manual with no missed shift pedal!! LOL

 

love my c-4, more transmission than my car needs but is always fun with a reverse valve body and a hurst quarter stick

 

c-4 is the way to go

 

I have an manual AOD that is the nicest driving trans I have ever driven. Your welcome to come drive it and see what you think. Maybe you can buy the car its in?

lol not really looking to buy another car. i have enough as it is
i have a c-4 at my shop but im looking to have o/d because this is my dd at the moment untill lexus is painted.anybody know how much power an aod can handle?
