Sunshine last night (1/27)
How'd everyone do? Ran into slow_poke, Largo5.0, 351coupe, and TS#25 staging the FordSpeed S197 when I was pulling up to the line.
Took notchbackman and his '93 Reef Blue Coupe to the track for the first time ever. Sean had never been to a racetrack, even. He was a bit nervous to drive it, so I told him to ride, and I'd drive it down the track a few times to help him get through his nerves. It was the first time I'd ever driven the car, and first time I'd pulled gears since back in the summer. Piloted the car to a best of an 8.8 1/8th at 84+ mph with a craptastic 2.0+ 60' on street tires.
We had a great time, got 4 solid runs in, and it was great to get notchbackman to the track for the first time!

Good seeing you lastnight brother.I had another shitty night with this car.First pass tried not to launch it,just rolled it out soft and it shuttered throughout the 60ft stalled out(fucking piece of shit BG carb) then I started it and hit it.Ran a 9.5 at 82mph with a 2.57 60ft.Second pass I tried launching it a little higher,3,500 and it snapped the axle again.If I can get a clean pass I would guess it can pull a high 7 on motor.

Had a good time last night. Was nice seeing you again Josh! You may have left by the time I did my last run, but it ended up being a 8.85 on a 1.98 60'. I had a hell of a time figuring out this damn car on Drag Radials. I was just getting the hang of it on my last pass. I'm hoping to make it out again soon when its a little warmer outside. I need a few extra degrees for some traction on these DR's (or some suspension work lol).

< is jealous of people who aren't having to work 55-65 hours a week. I'd love to hit up Sunshine... the weather has been amazing.
Those assholes might make me have to have a parachute though if I run quicker than 7.49.... not really, but every time I run there they want me to do more... like helmets and other stuff.
