That puller fuel pump and 600 carb has to go. Start with a decent pump in the back (pusher) and go from there. It is running lean....that is causing the popping when its running out of fuel

It has a tiny Mr Gsket pump mounted up front using it to pull fuel from the back and a 600 vac sec. I dont think the pump is keeping up is the biggest problem and it is lean poppin. The distributor was a tooth advanced.

Ohhhhhh. The carb cure-all didn't ?

I've got a Holley Blue that I don't know what to do with. And a shiny regulator. (You may have seen it somewhere in your travels) Sheeut, I've even got a braided stainless double jointed, AN fitted carbolator fuel gizmo that I've been thinking of making a Navajo Flute out of for lack of any other thing to do with it.

Dayum! It couldn't keep up at 3 grand? I didn't know Mr. Gasket made pumps for a Briggs & Stratton.

Well I agree with all the commits. I haven't had the ride long and I knew I needed to replace the pump. I got new plugs in it and a set of MSD wires also. Just need the money to buy your pump and line setup. I just broke the $1,000 make on it yesterday, so I'm still way ahead of the game.
