Default valve cover clearence issues!!!!!!!

ok so i have a set of 1.72 roller rockers on a 302 im building and im trying to find a set of valve covers that will clear the rockers and the stock EFI intake. i have a set that clears the rockers but they wont clear the intake. they would if i had a 1/2 inch spacer. but the only size spacers i can find are 3/8 or 1 inch. so any help would be great. lol and the 302 has a ford racing F303 cam in it.

I think the stock H.O valve covers clear the 1.7s. If not, I know for a fact the Ford Racing valve covers do and should be able to fit under the intake.

Just curiousity here, but why build an engine with an F-cam and have a stock intake? You're not using the stock E7's too right?

its just a stock motor. im just building it with parts i have laying around. and yes it has stock E7's. but i ported and polished them and took the smog humps out of them, put crane cams vale springs in them, and gasket matched the intake. its replacing a old motor with alot of miles and has severe blow by.

3/8 spacer is almost 1/2 once you add the 2 gaskets. but I am all for removing the baffles its cheaper
