After reading that, it seems the car is doing all the driving for you. I'll take my manual steering and brakes thank you.

I'm not going to race it, I'm just thinking about a daily commuter. It gets better gas milage and 305hp?! My stock 93 V8 only had 225hp. Just one of those hmmmmm...... I really would like to see what the Shelby is going to get...

Yeah, common sense would dictate that they would have to up the power lineup on the GT's and up. It doesnt make sense to have a V6 that puts out the same power as the GT and get better gas mileage.

Explain? I see this as a step in the right direction, for the most part. Ditch all the electronic crap, and you've got a hell of a motor there. It's funny, 300 hp is an iconic goal for 5.0 owners that are running an n/a setup, yet this 3.7 liter v6 is cranking that out STOCK. Can't wait to see what the new GT's powerplant looks like.

I will only say that 300hp out of a v6 vs 300hp out of a healthy 5.0 are most likely two different things. I like to refer to it as usable horsepower or "low end grunt."

I concur. 300 hp is nice but its not really good for anything if its only thumping out 100 of it and 50 ft lbs of torque at 1500 rshared_pm.

Very true. That's where our little 302's shine, is that low end grunt. It's what makes driving enjoyable on the streets, being able to blow the tires out with the flick of the throttle.

You can keep the low end grunt. I don't race between idle and 3500rpms. Gear the fuck outta that V6 and it'll be running heads up with some mild h/c/i 302's.
