Let me get this straight.
A 97 Mustang GT weighs 3288 or there about with an automatic tranny. right? So if I add two waffle rims with Kumhos to the trunk ~55# at least a cheap floor jack 15# a child seat at 10# and me at 175#: that comes to 3543. Ill negate the gas in the tank.

Now how accurate are those calculators that factor in weight trap speed ET and 60 and give you a result of RWHP (two figures one based on ET and other from Trap)?

I have consulted a few and they all come with similar numbers for the result. I KNOW it takes a certain amount of power to accelerate a car to a certain speed in a set distance and it takes a certain amount of power and torque to get it there in X time. Id think the calc is moderately accurate because it considers 60 (traction issue).

If this is the case then my Mustang with the following mods has about 215 RWhp (213 from ET 218 from trap).
4 Ram Air piping into stock airbox K&N 80mm MAF (stock unit gutted and polished) upper intake polished smooth and slightly ported NGK TR55GP plugs set to .58 Taylor Spiro Pro 8.5mm wires 180^ thermostat with 80/20 and water wetter (never exceeded R in NORMAL even after doing 5 consecutive .8 mile hot laps this weekend) 93 octane with fuel additive (100 octane?) automatic tranny with Amoco synthetic fluid and Lucas additive.

Thats all. it seems high. but the numbers fit. it also says about 260 flywheel but since I am an auto I do not trust that number... but that IS only a 17% loss.

Those calculators are not accurate at all. On the corral it said I had 370hp on the motor I wish! Since u have the same body style as I do except for the tranny us should be around the same. My manual says my car weighs at 3415. Not I weigh 175 or so and last time I weighed my car minus the spare tire and jack it came in at 3550 w/ driver. So u should be around that range I would imagine. -Mark
