Default Need Help Getting Car Started - Pic Included of Issue

So the car sat a couple days and I went to start, wouldnt fire just clicks battery is fully charged etc. Well I had my friend turn the key multiple times so I could look around and there are sparks coming off the two main bolt/screws going into the solonoid where the wires all bolted down on. They are just little sparks nothing crazy but the car is not turning over and I am wondering if this just randomly took a crap or if there is something that needs to be crossed/bypassed to start the car? Sorry rookie when it comes to this type of stuff, pic below.

I see no pic. HOWEVER, if the starter solenoid has sparks coming off it, thats a bad sign. I would check your connections. If they're all good, and it is still sparking, then replace the solenoid. As a privy to the life of bad solenoids and a whole plethora of other issues that Chebbies don't have. Of course, our issues are easier to diagnose and fix. LOL

There should only be one wire on the right hand post. That would be the + wire to your starter. The rest of the wires should be on the same post as the Battery + cable. Off the top of my head, Id say those yellow wires are shorting out when you hit the key to start. Make sure they are not shorted out somewhere before you hook them to the + post though. Also, make sure the little metal box is not shorting out against sometning. It's the circuit breaker for your door locks.

Crap. I had no idea ou had extra wires coming off the solenoid. Those are instantly suspect IMO.

Just be careful not to let all the smoke out of the wires. If you do, they won't work anymore.

Ok update, removed the yellow wires. Those worked the electric fan. Still not firing, not sure if it is sparking need to have someone by the car while i turn the key. It is still just clicking. Would we all assume it is that solenoid that might just be bad?

Did you have to ride down the road holding the key to start for the fan to work? Thats the only way they would of came on wired the way it was.
