Default Fuel leak in between filler neck and tank

Anyone had this on their Ford? Apparently it's a common problem with the Mustangs. Replaced the grommet, but it's still leaking when I fill up. Pissing me off!

You can see the new seal in place in this picture...

Hard to tell from pics, but did you check the sender gasket on top of tank? Also be sure the tank breather line has not been plugged of or kinked

I haven't checked the top yet... Felt what I could with my hands, it feels dry and the leak appears to be coming straight down from where that seal goes in. I am bringing it to a friend with a lift at his shop, I'll see about the top when we drop the tank.

Yeah it's the right one, and I'm pretty sure it's seated all the way. I've put the damn thing in there 3 times now this time with some ultra copper gasket maker, we'll see how that works out. If this doesn't work I'm going to have to go to Ford and drop another 27 bones on another grommet and drop the tank so I can slide the filler neck in straight instead of muscling it in and possibly breaking/stretching it.

I would be willing to bet that you sliced the seal when you re-installed it.
