Most come with heli coils in all bolt holes. As far as waiting to cool down, that shouldnt be an issue. More than likely you prolly didnt never seize them

If you have a magnet for aluminum shavings,
I bet it's worth a lot of money.....-Bob

Check out this website.

++ TIME-SERT Threaded inserts for stripped threads, threaded inserts, thread repair stripped sparkplug's, Ford sparkplug blowouts, threaded inserts threaded, repair stripped threads, stripped threads, inserts threaded inserts, Ford spark plug repair,

A lot of usefull information on here about repairing spark plug threads. The repair kits are a little costly, but they are the best I have found.

Whatever you do, make sure you use an aluminun insert. You can not use steel on an aluminun head.

I would think a steel insert installed in an aluminum head would have an adverse affect on the spark plug's efficiency. All the kits/inserts I have ever purchased from Timesert have been aluminum, not to mention that is what they always recommended to me.

that may be true , I'm just saying , the shop I worked at had a motorcraft kit. They did FHP cars in Clearwater. they did so many they bought this kit and it had all steel threads. I thought it was a pretty nice set , but it does make sense to have aluminum

They do make nice kits.....expensive.....but nice. It hurt a little when I bought the first one, but now all I have to do is purchase the inserts, which aren't bad at all.
