Check lugnuts for tightness? Buddy of mine has a 91 Dodge Ramcharger that kept shearing wheel studs, and wheel wobble caused it from only running 4 out of 5 studs.

This is the rear wheel wobbling I assume. Check to make sure the rim is not bent before you go through the trouble of replacing an axle. Odds are its the rim and not the axle. Get it on a balancing machine and have them spin the wheel. If its wobbling on the machine then there is your culprit. Or,.. swap the wheel with one from the front and then see if it wobbles on the front and if the one on the back doesnt. An easy way to tell if its the axle or not is to pull the axle out and roll it on a flat surface.

I bought a set of 17x8 96 - 98 GT wheels off Ebay,.. the guy lived in Cocoa beach,.. so I drove over to get them. The wheels looked like they were in great shape,.. no curb rash,.. looked perfect. For $175 I thought I got a great deal. Wasnt untitl I got new tires mounted on them that I discovered that 2 of the wheels were bent. I contacted the guy and asked for my money back. He said I bought them as is,.. I was pissed. So I drove to his house late at night and pitched a rim through his front living room bay window. I know he knew who did it,.. but he never contacted me nor did I ever have any police knocking on my door.

Could be bad axle bearing. But I would take the wheel off and get it checked.

tightened the wheels up seems like one lug on each rear wheel had a couple turns left to tight its not doing it anymore from what my friend saw.

probably just an optical illusion due to dirt on the tire/wheel. One loose lug is not going to make the wheel wobble
