86 mustang gt wont start
i have a 86 mustang gt with a engine out of a 93 it recently had a new computer put in it and it ran fine for a month and then it started to do the same thing were it wont start and the fuel pump stays trying to prime but before it died it slowly started to run worse and worse
It's toast. You might as well give the carcass to me, I could use some 4 eyed parts.
Are you running any kind of a chip or tuner like a Tweecer on it? If the tune on that gets corrupted or the wrong strategy is used it can cause the pump to run continuously. When you say it won't start, do you mean it won't crank or it will crank but won't fire?

You should switch it to carb. It'll run great then.
Distributor module may be bad. Only way I know (and the fastest) is to replace it with a known good one.
My vote is on the fuel pump though....Or the filter.

Dammit, Tim! I was just about to come in here saying that!
Did you try replacing the distributor module?
Oh, and you're right, if it were your chevy, it wouldn't be giving you these problems. It would be giving you far WORSE problems.
