Question Help determine which motor

Help determine which motor

I bought an 1988 Mustang gt here is the exact post of the car I got.

This is not your average Mustang! This car has a 302 H.O. engine that's bored to a 347, it has a aluminum high rise intake, a dual line 750 holley 4-barrel carb. , headers, 5-speed manual transmission, 8.8 rear end, dual exhaust, new carpet, new seat covers, new brakes on front, brand new Cooper Cobra GT tires on rear, new paint, new battery, & new ICM box. I have over $3000 in car, need to sell to many cars in my yard. This is a huge sacrifice for me to sell at this price. This is a firm price. Will not sell for any less,

Now my issue is, I'm thinking about selling the car now, And focus on other stuff I have going on

And on the car, It has a clean title and all, However when I asked for the paper work on the build-up he said that's what he was told when he got it, And had none (Now the guy wasn't car smart he actually bought it for his wife who burnt the clutch and couldn't drive it).

Now I ordered the King cobra clutch kit, upr cable, quadrant, and fire wall adjuster. And after I install them I wanted to put it up for sale. Now I can tell there motor work since it is carb'd now. But I cant tell to the extent of the work. So my question is is there anyway to determine what is done to the motor without totally tearing it down?

Thanks guys overall it is a nice car I just have been putting my other cars on the back burner since I keep getting these projects

You can drop the pan, unbolt the mains and rod caps, and yank the whole rotating assembly out. It really isn't very hard. But thats the easiest way to do it. I'd advise you to only pull one piston/rod out, because they're kinda a prick to get back in.

Look for the numbers on the parts, and Google 'em.

Cam is a little bit more of a pain in the ass to get out.

50oz is stock 302/306
28oz is for a stroker

My 306 uses a 28oz balance

Balancer isn't a sure way to tell.

true, but wouldn't hurt to look. A 50oz would rule out a stroker

plus, the ad stated only $3000 in the car. a cheap motor is not going to be internally balanced.
