How much to have 4:10's installed in my S197 GT
I am currently looking to have 4:10's installed in my GT and trying to see how much I can get them installed for. Anyone have this done and know how much in labor? I can prchase the install kit myself or if anyone knows a bundle price?

Not sure on the pricing but I would check with Na306Stang or 91notch. They both run shops and deal primarily in Mustangs so they could give you a pretty accurate estimate.

unless there is something special I dont know about , I usually charge 150 to install gears . Thats installation , pinion depth ,pre load and backlash .$150.00 I have the next week off from work , so I'll be at my shop in Tampa . I havnt done a 197 car yet but all the rest are 150
take it to genium performance (91notch is his screen name). I paid too much to have mine done wrong at a different shop. These guys are good and it is the only shop that gets my business plus they work on new mustangs all the time.

That sounds like a pretty good estimate. Plus another 150 or so for the gears depending on where you get them. You may need a gear install kit. Not sure what comes with the gear set if you get all the shims and some gear oil and friction modifier and whatnot. Youll need all those as well. Ive never done a gear install so I dont know exactly what it entails but most of the other guys on here will be able to tell you exactly what you need in terms of parts.
