Default might be buying 04 gt vert..need owner pros and cons

Hey there, might be buying an 04 Mustang Gt convertible, and need some opinions about them. The car has 43k on it with a 5spd trans, no mods. Like i said in the title, I want the pros and cons bout them, reliabilty, repairs to expect etc...not their slow, its a ford, or stuff like that. My thanks in advance for those that help.

Mullets can always move side-ways into the better brand. Good move up!

Mustangs are POS's man, un-reliable, big pita to work on, so on and so forth. lol

There has to be a reason why you see more new edge(99-04) mustangs running around than any other GEN mustang.

I have a 2002 GT. Bought it with 40k on it back in Mar. 06. It now has 140k on it. The only issues I have ever had with it have been accident related with the exception of some minor clutch hiccups over the past 2 weekends and some brake problems that were completely my fault.

1. Maintain it and the doors will fall off before the car leaves you totally stranded.
2. Clutches and the cables go bad occasionally. Keep an eye on the cable and if the pedal starts feeling a little spongey it could be the cable fraying.
3. Seriously, change the oil regularly and the brakes as well and you shouldnt have any problems at all.

I have had a few and now my wife has an 01 GT vert with 80k. Be sure to check the rear glass where it meets the canvas to make sure it's not leaking. They repaired it on hers, but not my 03 Cobra. All in all, We both love our verts. GL man!

Owned a 2004 GT for 2 and 1/2 years now and had not one problem with it. I baby mine and put the good stuff in her and she keeps on. Only got 53,000 miles on mine, but like I said, nothing wrong with it at all.
