Default Torque Converter Riddle

Test fit TC to flexplate out of tranny...every hole lines up

Install tc in tranny..it seats as far back as it will go, bolt hole all line up but one. WTF'n hell.?

Time to break out the drill. lol

Seriously though, I dont know much about auto stuff. That sucks man. Hopefully someone will chime in and let you know. Maybe bad production of flexplate or TC.

But holes line up perfect out of tranny. I dont get it.

Check the angle of the dangle. The trans isnt seated and off-plane.

I have a feeling the flexplate is the problem. I may have got crazy with the threadlocker, the back of the flexplate and crank are covered in a film. I dont think the flexplate was could seat all the way.

If bell isn't going all the way square to the block, check to make sure converter is seated.

Converter is seated all the way, bell to block clearance is fine. THis mutherfucker just wont line up. I don't get it.

Try to put the converter to the flexplate out of the tranny (test fit) to make sure the snout of converter is "seating" in the crankshaft properly. I seen were you had to remove a pilot bearing from there, be sure there is no burrs in there HTH
