Sounds more like an ignition fuse/fuse link or ignition switch problem to me. Hard to tell without looking at it though!

no but really, i beat the crap outta my honda single cam and its still going.
trying to blow it up before the swap.

whats wrong with the volvo? I got 400 k on my 85 ,i'm trying to blow it up so I'll have an excuse to put a 302 in it

 

do a voltage drop on the pos battery cables .to the starter ,,the fuse box,do one on all the wires off the pos batt terminal sounds like a wireing issue

 

nothing is wrong with a volvo, the person i was commenting about had just purchased a volvo. all i was saying. i personally like volvo's a lot and think that they can be great looking cars.
