Default SCCA info needed.

thinking about going into SCCA and build the stang for it befor i go into drifting. any one have a good link or something so i can get the requirments,specs, rules, info, location and all that good jazz?

I dont know much about it. I imagine its something like being in a normal car club as thats what it is. They sanction a lot of events but I believe you have to have some sort of license to race at any of them. Im pretty sure they have track days and whatnot too though that you dont have to have any kind of special certs or anything but if you join they should be able to send you a rulebook with all the details of getting your car ready to be SCCA legal.

i saw that it would only be about 50 bucks to join for the year and they cover your medical if anything happens to you at there events. and you get insurance discounts with them as well.
im wanting to get involved with the track racing and all so i can get a better feel for handeling the car and seeing for far i can go with staying in a safe zone and learning more about the sport.

who knows maybe i might get pretty good at it and pick up a sponser or to. out of all the things in life racing is the main thing that i want to go somewhere with.

Its not a bad thing. Keeps people out of trouble. A lot of NASCAR drivers got their gigs by just doing grassroots stuff like dirt track, circle track, and things like this. Sounds like it would be a lot of fun. I might have to look into it in the future as well.
