im sick of seeing it and need some info on how to fix the problem. the truck has almost 150k miles and the idle is kinda crappy as well.i've already cleaned the maf sensor and iacv. if anyone has some help for me, that'd be awesome! thanks guys!!

I would check the pcv hose. If it cracks or gets a leak somehow youll get a vacuum leak which causes the rough idle and youll get shit gas mileage as well. Had this problem on my mustang and turned the pcv hose over and found a huge crack.

Common intake gasket problems in those trucks, I just got done doing one last week. Which engine is it? The 4.0 ? Another oversight is the gas cap, if it doesn't seal it's just like having a vacuum leak when your emissions system purges

PCV hose or Air intake hose. The rough idle makes me think its definately a vacuum leak somewhere.

Get a can of carb cleaner or brakleen or something flammable. Spray it around the engine at various points with it running. If the engine idles up for a second after spraying its sucking the spray into the engine and burning it and blocking the leak momentarily.

To be 100% honest with you throw that fucking gas cap in the trash and go buy a factory one!

No I am serious....when I use to work at Dodge and a car would come in with a check enging light and it ended up being and emissions code you wouldnt beleive how many "locking gas caps" ended up being the problem. They just dont seal properly....and for the emissions system to work the way it was designed it critical that the gas cap seal properly.

More than likely and intake manifold leaking wont produce an emissions code. Hunt down the vacuum lines running to the evap purge solenoids and the canister. Might even be a hard part like the canister or the purge solenoid.
