You can buy T56 conversion kits mustang specific, and as for using the T56 trans with a T5 Bell? No, its not going to happen. Look into D&D Performance.

Welcome to D&D Performance - The 5 & 6 Speed Experts!

Probably the only and true kit available.

Keep us posted on the swap! Wouldn't mind hearing what kind of mileage/performance gains can be had from a t56 swap.

well considering on average that i put almost 3000 miles a month it would pay off really quick, im only getting 10-13 mpg in town right now with stock booty 2.73 gears, with the t56 and 4.10 gears i will most likey get almost twice if not more mpg.. ! u do the math

going from a 2.73 to a 4.10 will only make it worse.

actually depends on how efficiently the car runs and weight of the car and the driver mod.

Six speed has two overdrives, in my old Firehawk I could regulary get 26mpg with 6 speed and 4.11's on the highway. terrible if I drove it hard.
Car ran high 12's

I also had a low 12 second fox coupe regularly knock down 23 highway with 5 speed and 3.73 gears, drove it 47 miles each way to work every day.
