How much horsepower does a auto tranny take from you because I just read other posts about how AODE suck ass that makes me wanna get a convert to manual

so autos r 215hp and manuals r 225hp..fuck tranny I want power spend 1600 on some engine shit.

nope. thats flywheel horse power. 15% off that for 5spds and 20% off for autos (give or take a few %) so a 215 auto is only 172 rear wheel horsepower approx

depends on the condition of the AOD and converter as well. Friend of mine picked up a substantial amount of power due to the crappy condition of his AOD and how much it was sucking from his motor.

5spd is more fun to drive anyway...

they are hipocrites then-- i have an issue where they dynoed a bunch of autos and manuals ant the manuals were losing 25-30%

oh well-- even an extra 5+% can be alot
