Throw out bearing problem on a 99 GT?
I just got this 99' Mustang GT about 2 months ago. Just replaced the intake manifold due to a stock plastic cross over failed. But that was expected (Had a 01' P71 Crown Vic a while back). Then hear a noise coming from under the car and it changed pitch when I pushed the clutch in. So I figure it's the throw out bearing. So I decided to replace the clutch since I have to drop the transmission anyway. Bought a Ram HDX clutch from American Muscle. So I installed the clutch with the supplied throw out bearing + a new pilot bearing from Napa. All was well for about 2 days and then all of a sudden when the car is cold it's a smooth pedal, but after a little driving the throw out bearing starts to bind. I used locktite on all the pressure plate and flywheel bolts. So I open up the dust cover and put a little high temp grease on the imput shaft. But still have the same problem. When it's cold it's fine, but after about 5 minutes of driving it starts to bind. Anyone have any idea what it could be? Throw out bearing or posibly pressure plate? Thanks
