The hp rating ford claims is from the flywheel. They claim my car has 305 hp at the flywheel but the hp at the wheels is probably in the low 200s. Its kind of disappointing isnt it?

 

Hey Mark and all. When I dynod I also found I have a Ford problem. I have an aode and the computer will always kick me into OD at about 5000rpm. So I dont think he got to legit of a reading. Maybe only off by a few but still..And thats killing me at the track too. I feel myself drop into OD right when Im about to hit the traps. My first major major mod will be a 5spd conversion if I can ever get the money. Last night on the way home from a spot just for the heck of it I tried turning off my OD while doing about 70 and it wouldnt go off. It ignores the button.

 

I might know a tranny trick for that really simple.

 

Whats that? I could get a chip to do it. Its the computer telling the od to kick back on.
