I have the steeda drag spings and it looks to me like I have a damn lift kit on my car. Oh well. The set up as far as shocks sounds right that is what I am doing. Lakewood 50/50 and 70/30 in front. Also you will want to get some upper and lower control arms. When you are going to get the supframes let me know because I can get them for almost nothing then it is just finding someone to weld them in.

If you are worrying about money Factory 5 makes some VERY affordable upper and lower control arms.

Check out Draginmotorsports.com We can hok you up with all your suspension and subframe needs. Our car has no trouble hooking.
As far as having your subframes welded on at a muffler shop? do you want a muffler guy welding on your chassis? are they going to load the suspension? check tire preasure to confirm the body is straight and not tweeked?
