Default Advice on a window motor?

Drivers side window has started acting up, just before it gets to the top the window gts stuck and you can hear the window gear sound like its "slipping" yo hear a knock, knock, knock sound coming from the window motor. Pulled the panel odf and looked at it and the white cover thats facing me on the motor has a half circle crack and its flexing outward once the glass gets to the top and starts making that sound.

Just wondering anyones got changed these out before, the chilton's talks about removing the glass and sh$t and it seemes like I didnt have to do all that trash on my 95 I had.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

mormally those symptoms are resulting from the 3 plastic gear pieces in the gear assembly in the motor going bad, napa sells a kit for them

10-4, thats been my experience as well. I picked up the bushings but noticed the outer case cracked on the window motor.

i changed my driver side window motor about a month ago. what really sucks is that you really can't see what the heck your doing. but i removed the door speaker and removed the 3 screws holding the motor in place and fed it out through the speaker mounting hole in the door.
